PHILOSOPHY & CURRICULUM

Partnering with families in the education of children is a key aspect of Christian education. When parents and educators work together, we create a strong foundation for the holistic development of each child. Together, we can nurture their faith, guide their learning journey, and shape their character, ultimately preparing them to fulfill their God-given purpose.

Our Philosophy of Education

Christ-Centered Education.

We believe in the centrality of Christ in all things. Our aim is to equip our students with a biblical worldview that informs all aspects of their lives.

We seek to instill in our students a lifelong pursuit of Christ-likeness as they become agents of change in the world.

Student-Centered Learning.

We believe in the intrinsic value of each student. Our aim is to provide a personalized approach to education that caters to each student's unique learning style and needs.

We strive to create a nurturing and positive learning environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking.

Partnership with Parents.

We believe in the importance of partnership with parents. Our aim is to work alongside parents in the education of their child, valuing open communication and collaboration.

We strive to equip parents with the necessary tools and resources to support their child's academic, spiritual, and social growth.

Curriculum

At True Light Christian School, in addition to the core courses of math, social studies, language arts, and science, our curriculum encompasses the following subjects:

  • Bible (K-8)

  • Physical Education (1-8)

  • Cursive (starting in 2nd grade)

  • Technology (starting in 3rd grade)

  • Music (including band)

  • Art (K-8)

We use a Bible-based curriculum that harmoniously blends spiritual principles with academic acumen. Our mission is to demonstrate how Christ is evident in all areas of life and reflect that in our school's climate.

Worship in education connects students' hearts, souls, and minds to God.
