Yes, high school graduates will receive a diploma through NorthStar Academy which holds dual
accreditation from Cognia and the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).

Students will attend a fall retreat to start the school year. There will be a weekly chapel program students will actively take part in. Each morning will start with a daily foundation which includes devotions and singing. Students will continue to memorize Scripture as part of their schooling. Subjects are taught from the perspective that God is the center of all things and that academics must include God if a student is to know the complete truth in any area of study.

There is a focus on students growing in their ability to plan, organize, and prioritize their learning. Students will spend the majority of their time in the Learning Commons, a space with flexible seating, natural lighting, and a Learning Coach to guide them. They will decide each day what they spend their time on in the Learning Commons. They will have a blend of in-person classes and classes through NorthStar Academy.

True Light Christian High School plans to join the Christian Athletic League which has varsity athletics for girls and boys basketball, girls volleyball, and coed soccer. We also plan to join the MSHSL in hopes of securing cooperative agreements with local high schools to allow students to play sports we do not offer.

Students will have in-person math, science, PE, and Bible classes. They will take English, social
studies, and electives through NorthStar Academy.

True Light is a joint tenant with Grace Life Church of the old East Side building. We will be using additional space from Grace Life in order to house high school students. Most of a high school students’ day will be spent in the Grace Life Fellowship Center, which will function as our high school Learning Commons.

Students in grades 10-12 will have the opportunity to apply to colleges and universities who offer PSEO courses through the state of MN. There is no additional cost for PSEO courses. When students receive a passing grade, these courses will count for high school and college credits.

A full-time Learning Coach will be responsible to help students set goals, focus on tasks, and prioritize their time in the Learning Commons. This person will have the most contact with students day to day and will have access to their progress in NorthStar Academy classes.
Course Offerings
At True Light Christian High School, students have the opportunity to have a fully accredited Christian education. Along with core subjects and honors courses, students can choose from nearly twenty Advanced Placement® courses and electives ranging from computer programming to criminology & forensic science and archaeology.
