True Light Christian School is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as our 4th Grade Long-Term Substitute Teacher.

Applicants must be born-again believers who feel called by God to help students live a life pleasing to God. Candidates will need to hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university. Licensed teachers are preferred.

Responsibilities will include: reflecting the purpose of the school, motivating students to work hard, lead students to Christ, keep proper discipline in the school, maintain a well ordered classroom, plan and assess student work.

A successful long-term substitute teacher will possess the following:

1. Love for Christ and children

2. Wholehearted agreement with school’s Statement of Faith and Christian philosophy of education

3. Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions

4. Ability to work with and be a part of a team

5. Ability to work independently

6. Knowledge of classroom management, planning and assessing student work

7. Regular attendance at a local Bible believing church
